Where do you deliver?

We deliver furniture, rugs and chandeliers to the 48 contiguous United States. We do not ship accessories. 

How will my items arrive?

Retreat Home Furniture cares deeply about protecting our environment. We ship most larger items unpackaged (no crates or pallets) to avoid excessive waste. These items must be shipped using specialized shipping partners. Our Retreat Home Furniture In-Home Delivery shipping partners meticulously blanket wrap furniture for the highest protection during shipment. This process protects your furniture from incurring damage during the shipping process and assures your products arrive in perfect condition.

Is assembly included? White Glove Service includes room of choice placement and some minor assembly. For other items, assembly is available for an additional $100 charge.   

Is Doorstep Delivery Available for Nationwide Shipping? Most of our products have to be shipped using White Glove, In Home Delivery (outside of our Local Market).  Some products that ship directly from our vendors are boxed or packaged in a manner that allows Doorstep Delivery.

How are shipping and handling charges calculated? Nationwide shipping costs are based upon dimensions of your items and shipping distance. We encourage you to review the delivery fees listed in the shopping cart prior to submitting your order.

When will my order arrive? 3-8 weeks after product is produced. You will receive a call to schedule your delivery time 3-5 days ahead. Our specialized delivery method can take longer than traditional retail purchases. Most larger in-stock items are picked up within an average of 15 business days after purchase and deliveries generally take between 3-8 weeks from date of pickup.  

Parcel delivery of rugs and chandeliers are generally shipped via UPS, FedEx, or USPS and typically take 10 days or less for delivery. Following a purchase, you will receive an email confirming the carrier name and tracking number. Most items ship within 5 business days following a sale.

What about local Market Delivery Options? If you are located within approximately 75 miles of our Hayward, WI store, we deliver with our own Local Market delivery team. When your order is ready, you will receive a call to schedule your delivery date. One day prior to delivery, you will be provided with the 2 hour delivery window.

Local Market deliveries have two options: Garage Drop or In-home, White Glove delivery.

  • Garage drop is free for residences within the town of Hayward, WI with a $499 minimum purchase. Outside of Hayward, local Garage Drop delivery cost is determined by distance and ranges from $75 to $199.
  • White Glove service provides room of choice placement, minor assembly and removal of packing material. Local White Glove delivery ranges from $199 to $299 depending on where you live.

IMPORTANT: If you are receiving your order via White Glove Delivery and you have agreed to a scheduled delivery day/window, but you’re NOT AT HOME TO RECEIVE THE GOODS at the scheduled time, our delivery team will contact you to re-schedule a delivery for a different day. In the event that this occurs, you will be charged a one-time 2nd attempt delivery fee equal to the cost of the initial delivery charge. Free Pick up Locally! We offer Free Pick Up at our Hayward, WI warehouse.

How do I prepare for my delivery? In preparation for your delivery, remove pictures, accessories, etc. from the walls to prevent damage. Also ensure that the area where you would like your furniture placed is free and clear of any items that may obstruct the passageway. Please secure your pets, furniture pieces can be large and heavy and we do not want anything to happen by accident. The delivery team will place the furniture in your room of choice. Our delivery teams are not permitted to move your existing furniture, electronics, or other household belongings and cannot set up lamps, hang pictures or mirrors on walls, or make electrical connections for entertainment units.

What if I change my mind? You are responsible for all freight charges and restocking fees if you refuse delivery of delivered items. Both the freight charges and the restocking fee will be subtracted from your refund when you refuse delivery or cancel your furniture order while your merchandise is in transit. You  should inspect the merchandise for damages prior to signing the bill of lading for merchandise shipped via a freight carrier. Once the bill of lading is signed you own the merchandise and are responsible for any damages. If damage is noted at delivery, a customer service representative will contact you.

Can the Delivery Team Take Away My Old Furniture? Unfortunately, we cannot. However, there may be non profit organizations that will come to your home and remove the furniture at no charge.
